Hi I am new to this group

My name is Shannon Gasiewski my maiden name was Shannon Holmes. I am 24 a marine corp wife and currently living in Nc about to move to Va. I am hoping to be able to gain info on my family past and tree.

Greetings Holmes People!  I'm researching several families but have discovered a Holmes who may have played a significant part in one particular branch, in Fiji.  All I know is that he was named R L Holmes and lived on the island of Vanua Levu, Fiji between about 1870 and 1900. THE 1911 CENSUS IS NOW ON-LINE

New Census records added to Irish Genealogical Online Record Search System


The Irish Family History Foundation's Online Research Service (ORS) are pleased to announce the availability of the census records for 1901 and 1911 for Westmeath.


This also contains census records from 1835 - a Pre-Famine Survey of Kilcrumreragh.

A very rich site for researchers with lots of family trees and message boards for most surnames.
You can get some data free but to go further you will have to subscribe.about £80 for UK membership .
UK records include indices and pages for the 1841-1901
census for England & Wales.
The USA Census from 1930 back to 1790 is also fully indexed. (for which you have to pay an additional subscription of about £90)


YOU SHOULD BE AWARE THAT THIS SITE IS NOW AVAILABLE FREE_OF_CHARGE IN UK PUBLIC LIBRARIES
